The Institute strongly supports and maintains a number of research projects into vital areas of public and workplace safety. Many organisations provide support to the Institute and where appropriate, are able to have students research specific areas of interest.

The Institute also has a fully equipped library with qualified librarians and provides access to a number of reference materials and electronic resources.
